Learning Ally, 2nd round of packets, and other programs.

April15

Good afternoon students and parents,

We hope that you are all doing well and are staying safe.  Today we mailed out the second round of paper packets.  You can expect them in the next couple of days.  Please let us know if you do not receive them by the end of next week.  There are many games and activities that you can do included in your packet.  We also included an instruction page with details on how to access each program that is available for you to work on at home.  The Learning Ally program will be new to some of you, however most of you have used it in the past.  We included your username and password for this program on your instruction page in your packet.  Most of your usernames are your first mane, last initial, and the number 1.  Most passwords are 123456.  We hope that these programs and packets are helpful to you.  Please let us know if there is anything that we can help with.

EPIC!

EPIC is a reading app/website that allows students access to hundreds of books for free.  Students can have books read aloud, click on words that they don’t know, or read independently with EPIC.  EPIC is now offering free remote access for students until the end of June.  Many of you may already have an EPIC account that you access through your classroom teacher, but just to ensure that all of you have access, we created accounts for each student.  Parents, you should have received an email invitation for creating a free EPIC account.  To get your child reading at home with EPIC, you will need to click the sign up now link in the email, and enter your email and make a password.  Once you have completed this, your student will have unlimited access through EPIC until the end of June.  We hope you are able to use and enjoy this resource.  Please let us know if you have any questions.
